Upper Valley Mountain Biking
When my son first became interested in mountain biking last year, I wanted to be part of his learning experience. My old bike was about 25 years old. Although it served me well for all those years, I quickly found out that it was inadequate for all of our adventuring needs. I began to research and (with my wife’s begrudging agreement) purchase the correct bikes, tools, and gear. Now the fun begins! The Covered Railroad Bridges
My son and I finished mountain biking in the Newport Town Forest ( a great place by the way for some incredible technical single track). I brought my camera and tripod along and thought visiting the two covered railroad bridges would be a great place to eat our lunch. I have taken images of Wright, but not the Pier (Chandler Station) Bridge. Looking East into the Pier Bridge Now the quick history lesson (taken mostly from the signs at the site).
