Smith Pond and Random Weekend Shots
This weekend’s hiking adventure brought Brent and I to explore Smith Pond in Enfield, NH. You get there by taking Exit 15 on I89 (Montcalm/Smith Pond Rd) and then driving up Smith Pond Road until you see a place to park on the left. From there it was a mystery which way to go , so we continued up the road and then through a gate and continued up the dirt/gravel road until we came to some clear-cut logging where we found some signs (but missed the one for the trail). Big Dog Falls 2
Brent and I went on a Sunday morning adventure up to Big Dog Falls and beyond. There are three ways to get to the falls. We decided to follow the ridge over looking the brook. After arriving at the falls, I noticed that the water level had dropped quite a bit from my visit earlier in the week. After a few photos Brent and I scurried up the step bank to the rim trail.
