Paradise Park and Cider Hill-Windsor, VT
Paradise Park is located between Main Street, State Street, County Road, and Juniper Hill Road in Windsor, VT. It is a 200 acre park that includes a large wooded area with brooks, waterfall, and carriage roads. The real gem is Lake Runnemede. A great place to see waterfowl, beavers, turtles, and fish. There is about a 1.5 mile trail around most of the lake.A great place to explore. Cider Hill Gardens and Gallery located not far from Paradise Park on Hunt Road in Windsor. Moose Mountain-Baum Conservation Area Trails
I am always looking for new places to go. I came across these trails from looking at the Hanover website. Here is a link. If you are looking for some beautiful landscapes including a really neat beaver pond, then this is a place to visit. If you are worried about getting lost in the woods, then this might not be the place to go. The trails are not marked and very rarely used. Until we got near the ledges, we were guessing where we were going. The beaver pond is amazing, there were many vernal pools, mountain fields, and ledges with great views towards the east.
