Smith Pond and Random Weekend Shots
This weekend’s hiking adventure brought Brent and I to explore Smith Pond in Enfield, NH. You get there by taking Exit 15 on I89 (Montcalm/Smith Pond Rd) and then driving up Smith Pond Road until you see a place to park on the left. From there it was a mystery which way to go , so we continued up the road and then through a gate and continued up the dirt/gravel road until we came to some clear-cut logging where we found some signs (but missed the one for the trail). Moose Mountain-Baum Conservation Area Trails
I am always looking for new places to go. I came across these trails from looking at the Hanover website. Here is a link. If you are looking for some beautiful landscapes including a really neat beaver pond, then this is a place to visit. If you are worried about getting lost in the woods, then this might not be the place to go. The trails are not marked and very rarely used.
