The Left Bank-Jardin du LuxembourgI enjoyed the left bank. If I was to live in Paris, this is where I would live. There are many gardens, small cathedrals, and nice neighborhoods.The largest garden is the Jardin du Luxembourg (second largest in Paris). The Luxembourg Palace, the main focal point of the garden, houses the French Senate. It was very well guarded. This over 50,000 acre garden is where all of the locals bring their families to exercise and relax.

Arc de Triomphe and a Walk along the Champs-Elysees Controlled Mayhem at the Arc de Triomphe My next stop after visiting the Eiffel Tower was the Arc de Triomphe. It was about a twenty minute walk. The first thing that grabs you is the traffic zipping around the circle (see above). I approached the circle from Victor Hugo Avenue and then walked counter clock wise to the Champs Elysees where there is an underground walkway to the monument. I took pictures as I went: You buy your ticket to take the spiral stairs to the top in the pedestrian tunnel (about 8 Euros). You come out from the tunnel underneath…
