Arc de Triomphe and a Walk along the Champs-Elysees
My next stop after visiting the Eiffel Tower was the Arc de Triomphe. It was about a twenty minute walk. The first thing that grabs you is the traffic zipping around the circle (see above). I approached the circle from Victor Hugo Avenue and then walked counter clock wise to the Champs Elysees where there is an underground walkway to the monument. I took pictures as I went:

You buy your ticket to take the spiral stairs to the top in the pedestrian tunnel (about 8 Euros). You come out from the tunnel underneath the Arch. As you can see from the pictures above, some pretty impressive handy work.

It is in my opinion that the best views in Paris are on top of the Arc de Triomphe. I wish I made it to the top at night.
A Walk Along the Champs-Elysees
After leaving the Arc de Triomphe I strolled down the Champs-Elysees to the Place de la Concorde.
