I took the kids up Gile Mountain in Norwich, Vt. This is a great little hike, but get there early. This is a popular hike for people visiting the Upper Valley. There were more plates in the parking lot from New Jersey than Vermont. The trail head is near the end of Lower Turnpike Road and the tower is .7 miles from the parking lot. There is even a mountain bike only trail. The Shredd Shack at the top is the old Ranger\u2019s quarters. The tower is the tallest I have been on, so you cannot be afraid of heights.<\/p>\n
