Mylar is great for reflective photography. It works better than a mirror because the reflective coating of a mirror is on the other side of the glass which causes a double image. You can also bend mylar and get unique effects like the elongated rose below. With the train I added the lights in Photoshop. The last two images were taken with my 35mm prime lens mounted in reverse on the camera using a reversing ring.
